Trust in God. Not the World.

Some trust in chariots, and some in horses; But we will remember the name of the Lord our God.
-Psalm 20:7 NKJV

If you are finding yourself trusting more and more in the things of this world, then re-adjust your thoughts.

Many believers get caught down (Jesus is up) in this. Don't be that believer. Don't stay dwelling in the things of the world for those will one day be no more, but the name of the Lord our God will always be.

Stay Strong!

The Bible. Pray. Read. Apply. No Compromise!

Thru the Bible with J. Vernon McGee

Hello everyone.

Just wanted to inform that the Thru the Bible series is beginning its 5 year journey from Genesis through Revelation again this coming Monday, 18 Apr 2016.

For those who don't know about Thru the Bible, it is a radio program, now online, that is led by J. Vernon McGee who provides commentary on the entire word of God.

McGee is a really cool and knowledgable Bible teacher. He provides a lot of great insight about the Word of God. The Lord greatly used this man.

How to connect...

If you are a smart phone or tablet person, Thru the Bible has an app that you can download. The app has all of his teachings, notes and outlines and a bunch of other stuff.

(What's cool is that daily the app refreshes to the most current teaching so you don't even have to think about it.)

If you use an Android device, go to the Play Store and search for Thru the Bible Radio Network.

I couldn't find an app via the Mac App Store, but I'm sure they have a podcast version in iTunes. If someone finds it post it here as a comment so others can view.

Online go here to obtain more information regarding the program.

BTW, it is also known as the Bible Bus so in case you see that don't get confused.

BTW part 2, I encourage you to through the guidelines that McGee provides. They've already gone through these in the past few weeks, but you can find them in the Archives section on the App or online. You will be greatly encouraged.

Enjoy the Journey!

Blessings everyone,

-Ruben

Thursday Night Bible Study Update & Verse of the Week

This evening we reviewed and discussed Matthew chapter fourteen.

First we called on the Lord for guidance in His Word. Then Worship.

Joseph provided the weekly memory verse:

"Blessed is the man who endures temptation; for when he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him." -James 1:12

If you would like to join us in memorizing the memory verse, please do so. We want you too ;)

Then we read, reviewed then discussed:
  • John the Baptist’s Beheading by Herod in vv 1-12
  • Jesus Feeding of the 5,000 Peeps in vv 13-21
  • Jesus’ Disciples See Him Walking on Water and their reaction in vv 22-33
  • Jesus Healing a Bunch of Peeps vv 34-36
It was another great night. If you'd like to join us feel free to do so. You can find directions, time and place here

BTW, the Bible Study is for everyone, believers and unbelievers alike.

God bless you and stay strong!

Seek Him First!

How awesome it would be to have no troubles. Imagine a life without any issues to contend with. Wow! Too cool! But, it's not gonna happen.

That's ok though. Why? Because if you have Jesus, you can go through your troubles with Him. He'll protect you and guide you through it. Believe me. I know first hand.

Yes, we can use the excuse that says "it's easier said than done" but that is a cop out. If we truly believe the Word of God, then we truly have to apply it. No ifs, ands or buts.

Ok. So what does the Bible say about this? Jesus speaking, He says...

But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. -Matthew 6:33.

Yes. Let's do that first. Let us seek the kingdom of God and all the goodness that it brings so we can begin to live a blessed peaceful life rather than a life full of self imposed stress.

We seek Him first then everything else will fall into place.

Get Strong! Stay Strong!
