Fleshly Lust

Image
Have you ever had the urge to go back to the things you used to do before you became born again?
If you haven't that's great. Keep on praying, reading your Bible and applying it into your life without compromise. Stay strong and don't look back at your old life before Jesus.

If you have had that urge to go back to the negativity of your previous life before Christ, I would like to inform you that God already knew you'd be getting that urge. Because of that, He also provided detailed information for us as to what we should do when we arrive at that time in our life.

(Notice that I said 'when we arrive'. As you know, the word 'when' denotes something that is to come, so be ready.)

I know this first hand because as I've walked hourly, daily, monthly, yearly and as the length of my walk in Christ has expanded, the fleshly desires of the past have creeped up, sometimes unnoticed, sometimes intentionally.

Nonetheless, regardless of what is coming up let's…

Alert, No More Law!

Image
The book of Galatians is a pretty amazing book.
This book is attributed to Paul the apostle who wrote to the Galatians regarding issues concerning the Law given by God early on in the Old Testament.

A very good contrast of the Law compared to Faith is given in chapter three where Paul details why the law was brought forth, how we (the believer) became free from it and how Faith in Christ now supersedes it.
Freedom from bondage of the law is guaranteed after reading through the chapter if you truly take His Word to heart and realize that the law does not provide salvation, but faith in Jesus does.
Nonetheless, toward the end of the message, Paul tells us that as many of us who have been baptized in Christ have also put on Christ (Galatians 3:27).
What does this mean? This means that you now have a connection with Jesus because you now have a relationship with Him.
'Putting on Christ' is a figure of speech (or metaphor) that is used to describe what happened after we accepted Jesus a…

Grace and Peace. Experience it Today.

Image
Are you experiencing God's grace and peace today? The apostle Paul, in his letter to the churches of Galatia, wrote in his salutation "Grace to you and peace from God the Father and our Lord Jesus Christ." This I'm pretty certain he wrote because of his own personal experience of grace and peace, in his life, after experiencing Jesus on the road to Damascus.

If you are currently reading or have read through the new testament you will read about Paul and his conversion to true christianity and relationship with God through Jesus Christ.

Paul, prior to conversion, was very well educated in the things of God. He knew all there was to know about God in the sense of law and a structured layout, but he did not have a saving relationship with God.

Paul's knowledge and adherence to rules and regulations could not save him, but the life altering event that he experienced on the road to Damascus did. That's where he first met Jesus and began to experience a true relationsh…

Joshua: Servant of God to the End!

Image
110 Years Old, Wow!That's how old Joshua was when he died.

Amongst the many words of encouragement that we receive from the book of Joshua, the fact that he served the Lord to his dying days is awesome and super encouraging to today's believer.

What does this mean for us? In what manner does the Bible encourage today's believer through Joshua?

This means that there really is no retirement age when it comes to doing the Lord's work. We are to be consistent in service to Him all the way through until our final day, here on this planet.

Another thing is that Joshua's service was not a mild, kick back sort of work. He was all about action both physical and mental.

Of course, we know that this doesn't mean that every single believer on this planet has to get up (literally) to do something physical for the Lord like going out street witnessing or helping an elderly person. Some people are unable too because they are disabled, bed ridden or whatever.
