Be Ready For Action!

If you are praying in accordance to God’s will, you better be ready for action. Especially if you are asking the Lord to bring someone to you whom you can share His Good News with.

God’s Word says “Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching.”1

This morning I was moved to share a prayer on G+ that went like this: ‘Thank You Jesus for this brand new day. Thank You for giving us life and another day to encourage someone with Your good news. I ask that You please provide boldness to me and all my brothers and sisters in Christ to share Your message of salvation with as many as You would have us speak to today. In Jesus' name’...
After doing so, I got ready for the day, and left the house to run an errand. When I arrived to my destination, I got in line and waited patiently for my turn at the register.

The person in front of me turned to me, and made a comment about the long line. At that instant, it was as if a loud gong went off behind me and then a voice ‘you asked for it. share the Good News.’
At that moment, I almost laughed and am smiling now at how the Lord works.

So a minute or two went by, and still I hadn’t said a word. (I kinda shunned the gong.)  But, the Lord prompted me again, and so I wondered how I would start the conversation. ‘What should I do Lord’, I asked.
Another minute or two went by, and during that time I was trying to conjure up an ingenious plan on how I would begin the conversation. I thought I’d begin by asking ‘so what’s your name’... or ‘how’s your day going so far’..., and then pop the question.
The Lord had another plan. Before I wrapped up my ingenious plan of action and was to begin, the words ‘so what do you know about Jesus Christ’ flowed out of my mouth uncontrollably and without warning. My plan was overpowered by God’s plan, and blessings began to flow as the conversation went on.
The gentleman began to share how he grew up going to church all the time, but since, he has just gone away from the Lord. I was able to encourage him to go back, and to begin reading the Bible and more. It was such a blessing to be used.
Finally at the end of our conversation, the Lord allowed me to bring my ingenious plan into action so I asked him what his name was....
Be encouraged bros and siss. If the Lord prompts you to share His Good News, do it. Don’t hesitate. Not only might you be able to encourage someone, but the Lord might just use you to lead someone to Him. Another soul saved! That person will be blessed, and you will be super blessed.
In addition, if you draw a blank, don’t worry. The Holy Spirit will guide you to the exact words to use.
I hope y’all are blessed and encouraged by this. To God be the Glory!
