Prayer Table :: Saturday, September 29, 2018

Yesterday's prayer table outing was super great! We arrived at 6am to the corner of 5th and "E" streets in San Bernardino.

We set up the popup overhead canopy, prayer table, witnessing tracts and a few chairs then waited for people to come around.

People were slow to arrive at first, but Cesar, Mario, Christopher, Dominic and I took advantage of that 'down' time.

We read our Heavenly Father's Word and encouraged one another with it. The main discussion was waiting patiently for the Lord.

We were going to begin praying when suddenly people began coming up to the table so that ended fast.

I shouldn't be surprised anymore regarding the people who come up to us to request prayer.

I'm sure the stereotype is that the homeless, the thugs and the worst of the worst would be coming around to the table since we're in downtown San Bernardino, but quite the opposite is true.

We had a variety.

From the well dressed with nice cars to the medium to the least of these. We listened and spoke to all.

I have to admit that I was surprised how people were coming up and telling us their situations.

Not the quick "I need prayer" for this type statements.

Many were "I need prayer" with super detailed stories of what was happening in their lives so along with praying there was a lot of listening on our part. A few shed tears as we prayed with them.

Nevertheless, the entire time was a super great blessing on us.

I thank the Lord and am honored to be of service to the Lord and for His glory with my brothers in Christ.

Take note: There are so many people hurting, not physically, but within their souls that we don't know about. As believers, take every opportunity that the Lord provides you with to be His representative here on earth.

Cobbler House will soon be planning to take the prayer table to different parts of San Bernardino so stay tuned.

Stay Strong bro's and sis's!
