Prayer Table :: Saturday, October 27, 2018

There was a slight twist at the prayer table yesterday as a couple of people came up to share their testimony of receiving Jesus Christ as Saviour and Lord of their life.

Although we are always encouraged to be used by our Heavenly Father through praying and sharing Jesus out in the streets of San Bernardino, it was different this time.

It was as if our Heavenly Father sent us a direct message that what we are doing, for His Glory, out there is a good, good thing.

A gentleman came up and parked right in front of the prayer table.

The three of us who were there went up to his vehicle, and he began to tell us how he accepted Jesus Christ just down the street from where we were positioned.

He stated that a lady, back in 1975, had been out there praying for people just as we were, and she told him about Jesus.

Long story short, he accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Saviour that day. Now, he himself, goes out to the streets of San Bernardino to also share the good news of Jesus Christ.

We were encouraged by his story. And even more so, when he told us that he was so joyful to see us out there doing the same thing that the lady who had led him to Christ was doing.

Another gentleman came by later to ask for prayer and to share that he had been a member of a gang in San Bernardino way back in the day.

He ended up in jail as a heroin addict.

During his second week in jail and as he was going through withdrawals from heroin, he stated that he dropped to the floor in his cell to obtain the coldness from the cement floor.

While on the cement floor, he scooted himself under a bunk where he found a small Bible. Upon touching that Bible, he was instantly healed and consequently received Jesus as his Lord and Saviour. He has been walking with Jesus ever since.

He proudly opened up a small bag and showed us his Bible. (Not the one he found in the jail.) The one he carries with him everywhere he goes.

What an extra dose of blessings from our Heavenly Father to hear that testimony.

Side Note: If you are wondering that if by touching a Bible you can be healed and saved is a bit extreme, take a small snippet of my testimony into thought. . .

'On the evening that I heard the gospel of Jesus Christ for the first time, my course of life changed in an instant.

'From extreme partier, the worst family man, person with the worst thoughts and worst of the worst everything, I instantly wanted to share Jesus Christ and do His will. Yes! Right at that moment. I haven't been the same since.'

If you have accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour of your being and are not currently active in sharing the good news that brought you to Him, I encourage you to begin doing so. Today!

Don't hesitate. Simply do. Our Heavenly Father will do the rest.

Stay tuned for the Cobbler House Men's study promo coming up soon.

God bless you and Stay Strong in-Christ!
