C.H. Prayer Table :: Saturday, January 26, 2019

Image
Hey everyone! I hope everyone is doing well. We had another great time serving our Heavenly Father at the prayer table this past Saturday. Justin, one of the regulars at the prayer table, invited a mutual friend, Cesar, to join us.

Cesar used to come out with us many years ago when we used to 'prayer table' at different locations in San Bernardino.
Cesar is bilingual in Spanish and English and so am I but Cesar is super versed in the Spanish language. (His English is excellent as well.)
Nonetheless, the last post regarding the prayer table I mentioned that our Heavenly Father provides exactly what we need, and according to His will and timing so of course He did it again.
We've never had Spanish speaking folks come up or have we shared with Spanish speakers for whatever reason, but this time it was on!
We spoke to three Spanish speakers and one, Cecilia, professed Jesus as Lord and Saviour of her life. (Christians, please pray for Cecilia for true commitment and continued walk…

"Immediately the Spirit drove Him into the wilderness. And He was there in the wilderness forty days, tempted by satan, and was with the wild beasts; and the angels ministered to Him."
-Mark 1:12-13 NKJVSatan and his minions are at work twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week seeking whom they can devour.

Our Lord Jesus had just been baptized by John the baptist then immediately after He was led into the wilderness by the Holy Spirit.

Upon entry into the wilderness, Matthew 4:1 says that He was tempted by the devil.

The devil did not waste any time. He went straight for the kill. Of course we know that he failed, but we read that he certainly tried hard to make Jesus succumb to him. (Read Matthew 4:1-11.)

This reminds me of the new Christian and the battle that ensues thereafter with the father of lies (John 8:44). I know through first hand experience as it happened to me soon after my conversion.

Satan's lies, deception and everything that goes against Jesus came at me al…

Everything a Christian needs to know is in the Word of God.Even Paul asked the question, "For what does the Scripture say?"
Stop by this Saturday to find out what the Scripture says about the difference between justification by works and justification by faith.
Hope to see you there!

The Christian's Main Priority

Image
"O Lord, in the morning You hear my voice; in the morning I prepare a sacrifice for You and watch." -Psalm 5:3 ESVWhat a great time to call on our Heavenly Father -- "in the morning." David's first words in verse one are "Give ear to my word's, O Lord, consider my meditation."
If you are truly serious about your relationship with our Heavenly Father, then it is truly a serious thing to start the day with Him. David was truly serious about his daily walk with God.
The excuse is often made that "we are busy," but that is actually the lamest excuse we can use.
Frankly, there is no excuse we can use when it comes to spending time with our Heavenly Father.
David had a lot of very serious issues on his "plate," but his first priority was always God and building his relationship with Him.
What are your priorities as you begin this brand new day?
Pray. Read. Apply. No Compromise!
